INDIVIDUAL CONSULTATION

Straker Functional Fitness offers a free consultation session with our qualified Functional Fitness Specialist, Jason, who will assess client’s fitness goals, past or current injury status, mobility status, age appropriate requirements, overall health and idealized performance peak in terms of body shape, sporting performance and general health and wellbeing. This offering is suitable to clients of all ages.

CUSTOMISED TRAINING PLAN

Face to Face Training

Subsequent to the client consultation, Jason will construct a tailored training plan based on the clients’ fitness goals. The foundations of training are based on dynamic, tailored programmes including but not limited to a combination incorporating resistance training, mobility, body weight training
and/or aerobic training through the use of functional movements. Should a client require elements of other fitness sectors, such as high intensity interval training (HIIT), this will be incorporated into their customized training plan.

Face to Face Training-1

Biomechanics in sport incorporates a detailed analysis of sport movements in order to minimise the risk of injury and improve sports performance. Sport and exercise biomechanics encompasses the area of science concerned with the analysis of the mechanics of human movement. It refers to the description, detailed analysis and assessment of human movement during sport activities. Mechanics is a branch of physics that is concerned with the description of motion/movement and how forces create motion/movement. In other words, sport biomechanics is the science of explaining how and why the human body moves in the way that it does. In sport and exercise, that definition is often extended to also consider the interaction between the performer and their equipment and environment.

PROGRESSIVE PERFORMANCE ASSESSMENT AND DYNAMIC TAILORING

The training plan will be administered by Jason at the training sessions and will include an ongoing performance assessment offering the client a unique fitness training experience tailor made to their goals.
